NZAC, the New Zealand Association of Counsellors / Te Roopu Kaiwhiriwhi o Aotearoa is the national professional association which acts for and with counsellors to monitor and improve the service they provide.
Our aim is to promote counselling services which are safe and accountable. Not all counsellors are members of NZAC. Only those counsellors who are members are accountable to NZAC. Full Members may use MNZAC after their name. We have Provisional Members who are also accountable and working towards full membership.
You can use the search function above to find out if a counsellor is a member or a provisional member. If you want to find a counsellor in your area contact the National Office. We are listed in the Directory above. If you have a concern about the practice of one of our Members or Provisional Members consult our Complaints Process and make contact with the Ethics Secretary.
