NZAC Professional counsellors and members engage in regular professional development learnings to support their counselling practice, show cultural competency and adjust practice to ongoing societal change.


Professional counsellors are required to keep up to date with current research and best practices to offer effective counselling. Counselling clients can ask about their counsellor’s knowledge base and recent professional development.

In this section of our website you will find free or reduced cost webinars and events.


Webinars and events will be organised by the PD manager in collaboration with NZAC members for you.

These events will be:

  • regularly scheduled
  • quality presentations
  • relevant to your practice
  • can be counted as part of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
