Private Practice Opportunity in Nelson
Psychology - Psychiatry - Counselling - Social Work
Counselling and Psychology is an established practice with a good name, presence and well set-up rooms for a small group of professionals.
The opportunity exists for a practitioner or group of practitioners to take over the rooms and to quickly establish themselves in Nelson. Availability will be subject to negotiation of suitable lease terms.
There are two consulting rooms and all facilities are purpose built. Additional sound proofing was installed at the time of constructing the room partitions, and security considerations incorporated.
Consideration $15,000. The price accounts for a portion of what it would cost to set-up now and includes most furniture and filing cabinets, along with the Counselling and Psychology name, which has 25 years good standing. Potential earnings from goodwill inclusive in the price.

One-Year Online Training in Somatic Psychotherapy Foundations
(Part of 2 year Program Delivered by the Institute of Somatic Psychotherapy)

Learn how to integrate a somatic psychotherapy perspective into your current counselling practice by incorporating an embodied relational experience into your professional therapeutic practice with clients.
The full program includes 15 fortnightly two hour online live seminar modules interspersed with 15 smaller syndicate groups for practically-focused work, reflective learning tasks, reading materials, worksheets and exercises.
The full program is specifically designed for practising mental health professionals who want to extend their interests and practice towards Somatic Psychotherapy.
The seminars only course is also available for year 1 and both courses account for 40 CPD hours.
The full program is part of a 2 year program . On successful completion of year 1 participants can choose to move deeper into the practical learning in a 2nd year which includes residential training weekends in addition to the online seminars,
Seminars in year 1 are presented by UK based Courtenay Young- somatic psychotherapist, editor and publisher with 35+ years of experience in various settings with diverse clients.

Evaluation Training Workshop Programme 2022
We are pleased to release our Evaluation training workshop programme for 2022.
We hope these opportunities may interest you! We would also ask that you circulate this information among your colleagues as they may also be interested.
The two day Easy Evaluation course is a practical hands-on workshop teaches participants how to plan and conduct an evaluation of a public / community health intervention. Participants will learn how to develop a logic model, identify evaluation questions, establish performance criteria and standards (rubrics), and consider appropriate data collection methods.
Courses are planned for Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin.
- We also offer an online course in developing Feedback Forms and analysing the data collected.
- Tailored training and support for your organisation may also be available – please feel to contact me to discuss your requirements.
This workshop is suitable for people working across all areas of public health and related areas – including those working in Public Health Units, community/NGO sector, Māori health, as well as government and local government sectors, regional sports trusts.
